Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters Review

Why is it so short? I sit down and start to relax while i watch this movie and its over. I have to say that was disappointing expectantly since i thought the story had a lot of potential to be more then just another action pack film. With that being said this movie had so many action packed scenes, plus the blood and gore who wouldn't enjoy this film. The CGI was great too but i kinda wish they used CGI on the troll the whole film not just when he fought. I know that cost an arm and leg on the black market buy money shouldn't be in issue especially since its not mine. The cast was great too, there was three reasons why i went to the theaters to see this film one for  who played Hansel, two because it was a child's fable turned into a rated R film (i know childish), three the weapons looked amazing. Let me explain to those why this movie was rated R for one they cussed not old English cussing  but modern day cuss words which made me step back and say "that makes no scenes". Not only that but the weapons took me out of the world and wonder how people from the medieval times have a revolver? I have to give it to it thou the guns looked amazing the design was perfect for the "time" i suppose but at least they had that with each gun used having a special feather in them allowing them all to be used and executed perfectly for the time they were used on screen. The story was okay i guess i personally feel so much more could have been added, lets just say i got the Blu-ray for the perfect picture of action and the perfect sound of witches screaming. oh and if you think i'm exaggerating the time of the film, well then you should know its only an hour and twenty-seven minutes long take out the five minutes from the ending credits an its only an hour and twenty-two minutes long. Even tho i did kinda feel it was short it still had its moments and Jeremy Renner so it was okay. I would have to say any action loves who need that extra dose of blood and gore, you'll love this movie others just might want to pass.

Jack Reacher Review

What did i just see? Not only was i surprised by 's performance but the character him self only known as Jack Reacher is a Bad Ass. Some points in the movie i actually covered my mouth and yelled "damn that is cold!". Even the fighting scenes made me shut up and just watch, witch made me feel the film was more of a thriller than an action pack blockbuster. I think that's why the film didn't get great reviews in my opinions. The trailers (at least the ones i saw) mainly had Jack Reacher narrating who exactly he was, with these intense action sequence being played. Personally i think people expected the movie to be a bad boy who loves to brake things and not fallow the law. Witch it was just not in a way people expected it to me it was more down to earth. In one scene Jack took on a two people who attack him, he takes them out and finds that one man is behind him with a gun pointed at his back Jack quickly turns around to face the man and slowly walks up to him and exactly when the man shot Jack was able to push the gun to the side then use the gun to bend the guys finger asking him questions about the investigation Jack ends with one last question wheres the guys car and did Jack steal it because if the guy reports the car stolen Jack will make the guy look like the guys knocked out on the floor, the guys quickly screamed god man okay you didn't steal it man you know what barrow it for as long as you want. Don't wiry knowing that wont kill the movie for you at all so its not a spoiler but it is more realistic and i can appreciate that. The plot (story) is just a huge brain teaser keeping you on your feet thought the whole film. A cereal killer has killed five people, the man accused for doing the murders is Jack's old "Friend" from the military. Jack has come out of hiding to find out the true identity of the murder. I know from that the plot seems basic but i can tell you much more for the fear that it would spoil the film for all who haven't seen it. I will say this thou the movie is more than two hours long so expect the twist and turns to come every second. The beginning was so shocking that i honestly had to ignore the movie for five minutes and wonder why would anybody do something like that who would have the ability to do something so horrific. Just because of this this film has became somewhat memorable. I would recommend this to all thriller junkies and to anybody looking to see something new.

X-Men: First Class Review

I'm a comic book geek, I love comic's and the character's inside those beautiful pages. That being said the movies always disappoints, (except the Dark Knight) not because they are bad but mainly because they twist and turn your favorite characters to fit the description they think not only will the comic book geeks like but the public in general. I have found the best was for me to deal with the way they have altered my favorite characters (since I've known since I was a child) to fit modern-day standards I like to think that the comic's and the movie's are just two separate universe's. This allows me to accept the changes made. Now that I've gotten that out the way let me tell you my personal thoughts of yes my friend X-Men: First Class. This film is about the creation of the X-Men or the rode leading up to the creation of the X-Men not only that but it tells the story of why the characters we know and love choose the sides they chosen in the end (In the movie version at least). Personally I loved it, it gave me a little more insight in not only the characters behavior but in their past. In a way, by the end if you have seen the first X-Men you'll feel complete. Witch is a great feeling when your done watching a movie. The cast was great James McAvoy played Charles Xavier (A.K.A Professor X) he was good I was completely convinced James was a younger version of Charles with his smart mouth back talk, I couldn't stop wowing every time with a grin added knowing, the Professor just dropped some knowledge. James was perfect, he has manege to because one of my favorite actors just by being in this film and one of my other favorites Wanted Directed by Timur Bekmambetov. (Slow motion master of the silver screen) Believe it or not i even shed a tear while watching the movie, When Magneto found that the true strength of his powers comes from not anger but the middle of anger and serenity, I had to hold the tears back. The main reason i was so excited to see this film in theaters was the fact that Best was going to appear. (I'm not a huge fan of Best but i thought if there was anywhere I would want to see Best it would be on the silver screen) I have to say 20th Century Fox did Best justice he looked amazing the makeup and CGI transformation was so astounding i was sitting at the edge of my seat just to get a better look. I have to say tho the transformation reminded me of the transformation sequence in the 2010 remake of the The Wolfman but i have to say it was still completely awesome.I would suggest this to all comic book lovers just make sure you don't expect it to be like the comics even tho its not its still a great story. To all other its a must see first you need to learn your superheros, and its just that good. Well that's about it kids if you have seen this Film, tell me what you thought about it in the comment section below or even if you agree with me or disagree.

Limitless Review

As i explained in my last blog i just recently got Limitless on Blu-ray. I've seen this movie in the past, actually I saw this movie in theaters when it originally came out. When i first saw it i was shocked by how addicting this movie was literately from beginning to end i was sitting on the edge of my seat. Not only that but the camera angels and moment astonished me. Even the sequences of the man on the drug amazed me. I maybe getting a little ahead of my self let me drop some facts on you. Limitless was a 20th Century Fox/Virgin production, (yes as in Virgin mobile even i was shocked they got into the movie biz)  Directed by Neil Burger who did a terrific job on this film honestly by the end i had no choice but to stand an clap with this big happy smile on my face. Every shot was perfect an on the dot i never felt board, not for a single second. i have seen this movie about four times now and i can still watch it now with the same excitement i had when i watched it when i first saw it. That is incredible usually from the first time you see a film the excitement is just gone you know whats going to happen next from that point on witch sucks but for me this film has accomplished something only a hand full of films can do. i have to give credit to were credit is do the writer Leslie Dixon, the film is filled with smart dialog with every word came a rushed sense of respect and wonder. Mainly a wonder of what in the world is he talking about, again I feel im getting a little ahead of my self let me explain the plot Eddie Morra played by Bradley Cooper who did a great job is a washed out writer who has given up on life until he meets his brother in-law on the streets, who is a drug dealer and offers Eddi a new type of drug Eddi takes it and finds that the pill allows you to access 100% of your brain instead of just 25% if you don't understand this then ill expain a little more in deepth what this drug allows is for you to simplay think of the knowledge you need and if its stored anywhere in your mind you not only be able to access it but be able to completely understand it. I know exciting right, it gets even better. Eddie "stumbles" across more and uses them to have the time of his life but then he realises he could change the world make it better so he uses this pill to boost ability making him able to reach his dreams saddly there are some repercussion and when eddi is forces to share some pills with a mad man mobster let's just say things get worse. Not only that but the lengendary actor Robert De Niro also in the cast made this film complete. 100% i would recomend this film to any and everybody its completely worth with risk. If you have seen Limitless tell me what u thought in the comment section below. (Fun Fact limitless is based on a novel called The Dark Fields writen by Alan Glynn)

In Time Review

For those who don't know In Time was a 2011 release by 20th Century Fox Directed and Written by Andrew Niccol. I got the Blu-ray/DVD compo pack of In Time and another Film called Limitless so be expecting a review for that soon  (both also came with digital copy) for only 12 dollars. I've seen Limitless before and I'm not afraid to admit, Limitless was the only reason I got the pack to begin with so In Time was more of a blind buy for me. I remember the trailers that came out when the movies was released in theaters but it never really captured my attention. Justin Timberlake (ya the guy from NSYNC) started as Will Salas a man who is given a century of time in a world were time is life literately. Time is the worlds currency you wake up and want a cup of cafe you have to give up 3 minutes of your life, luckily you can give some away and work for more time as you can see your self the story sounds very interesting. The only problem I had was well to be blunt Justin Timberlake he's a singer not an actor. I'm happy to say by the end of the film Justin gained my respect not only as a singer but as a serious actor. His performance was great, by the end I was so attached to not only the character but also world that I felt wronged by the ending of the film. The supporting characters like  Sylvia Weis played by Amanda Seyfried who again is not really an actress I really enjoy or even would go see a movie only based on the fact that she stared in it, but she proved her self to me by the end just like Justin. Do I regret not going to theaters to see this movie in that beautiful silver screen, no not really. It was a basic movie not really filled with amazing stunts and action sequences that forced me to have to experience it in a theater. None the less I loved the story making it worthy of getting it on Blu-ray  at least for me. To other i would say maybe rent it and see if your into it. I would suggest this film mainly to those to enjoy a good story and a good thriller. (Just so you know, most of this movie is just the two main character running away 20th Century Fox even produced a game for the IPhone with the basses of the characters just running way for the main objectives)

Elysum Review

did it again folks, with the help of newbie director  (known best for his District 9 film). Matt and Neill created not only a new world but a new universe in the must see Elysum (For me at least). Elysum takes place in the far off future where planet earth has become a polluted waste land filled with the poor and criminals with rap sheets as long as my arm. While these people are forced to lived their existence on planet earth the wealthy party gets to go to Elysum a ship filled with advance technology, keeping the citizens young and immortal. Max played by Matt Damon is a worker who is exposed to radiation and given only 5 days to live before his organs shut down, he has to find away to get into a medic pod (a device that cures all diseases) which is only located on Elysum. Along the way Max agrees to get bionic arms installed into his nerves system making him almost unstoppable. Yes kids I did say almost unstoppable as in a character with equal or higher strength can stop him did he/she stop him you'll have to find out by checking out the movie your self but I will add that because of that rival character in the end their was an amazing sword fight, sadly only one character had a sword but the opponent defended with his bionic arms which still made the fight incredible. In fact all the action scenes within this film were amazing. The weapons were designed perfectly making them completely believable for the time period in polluted Earth and Elysium. The slow motion results of the damage caused by these incredible weapons were visually stunning. I must tip my hat to Writer Director Neill Blomkamp for bringing me much more then I would have ever asked for in  this amazing film. I would defiantly suggest this to all Action/Sci-fi  lovers and to all others just give the movie a try its worth the risk. If you have seen the film tell me what your thoughts about it in the comment section below.

Why?

This is John Klaudio, coming to you live from well um I kinda forgot so lets just move right along. For my first blog post im going to try and explain why exactly im doing all this.Besides my personal reasons witch will be set aside for the moment, im primearlly doing all this because my Enghish III teacher wants every student in the class to start a weekly blog. This got me thinking about my life how intersting my way of being is, not only to myself but to others around me. Before i was even able to finish my thought the teacher passed around a sheet of paper with topics we could choose from, as you can see my first plan was shot down before i even had a chance. Sad, i know the story of my life. I took a look at the sheet of paper and found "Movies" to be one of the topics. This was great for the main reason of simply, I love to watch movies. Honestly who dosent? if u dont then i cam only say lire. Oh yes i have class. remmber kids im doing this for a class so the hopes of my raging and just well "going crazy" just not going to happen, if you for whatever reason had hoped that this blog was going to be some negative crap about movies then your wrong and you should just keep looking i think the next guys blog is about how a double rainbow makes him angry and hate the world. This in the other hand is going to have a little bit of that ;) oh you know what i mean. My hopes for this blog are actully high, i want to write movie reviews and not only that but talk about my personal feelings towards the film. I wish to become a future Director/Writer/actor/producer. As you can see I care about more then just "was the movie good?" I actully care about the Director, writer, actors, and producers of the films. Thats the main reason why i think i would be a good source of more inner knowledge about the film. Well thats about all i have to say kids so this is John Klaudio singing out (yes i meant to put singing because i also am a singer fun fact right!) for the night and giving you my farewells, peace to the mother lands!
