X-Men: First Class Review

I'm a comic book geek, I love comic's and the character's inside those beautiful pages. That being said the movies always disappoints, (except the Dark Knight) not because they are bad but mainly because they twist and turn your favorite characters to fit the description they think not only will the comic book geeks like but the public in general. I have found the best was for me to deal with the way they have altered my favorite characters (since I've known since I was a child) to fit modern-day standards I like to think that the comic's and the movie's are just two separate universe's. This allows me to accept the changes made. Now that I've gotten that out the way let me tell you my personal thoughts of yes my friend X-Men: First Class. This film is about the creation of the X-Men or the rode leading up to the creation of the X-Men not only that but it tells the story of why the characters we know and love choose the sides they chosen in the end (In the movie version at least). Personally I loved it, it gave me a little more insight in not only the characters behavior but in their past. In a way, by the end if you have seen the first X-Men you'll feel complete. Witch is a great feeling when your done watching a movie. The cast was great James McAvoy played Charles Xavier (A.K.A Professor X) he was good I was completely convinced James was a younger version of Charles with his smart mouth back talk, I couldn't stop wowing every time with a grin added knowing, the Professor just dropped some knowledge. James was perfect, he has manege to because one of my favorite actors just by being in this film and one of my other favorites Wanted Directed by Timur Bekmambetov. (Slow motion master of the silver screen) Believe it or not i even shed a tear while watching the movie, When Magneto found that the true strength of his powers comes from not anger but the middle of anger and serenity, I had to hold the tears back. The main reason i was so excited to see this film in theaters was the fact that Best was going to appear. (I'm not a huge fan of Best but i thought if there was anywhere I would want to see Best it would be on the silver screen) I have to say 20th Century Fox did Best justice he looked amazing the makeup and CGI transformation was so astounding i was sitting at the edge of my seat just to get a better look. I have to say tho the transformation reminded me of the transformation sequence in the 2010 remake of the The Wolfman but i have to say it was still completely awesome.I would suggest this to all comic book lovers just make sure you don't expect it to be like the comics even tho its not its still a great story. To all other its a must see first you need to learn your superheros, and its just that good. Well that's about it kids if you have seen this Film, tell me what you thought about it in the comment section below or even if you agree with me or disagree.

  1. This was a good review! i don't read comics, but I've read some articles of how they change characters from the comics to the movie versions and how they are some of the changes don make sense. I liked the movie though.
